About Michael Kelsey
Michael Kelsey brings a free-flowing improvisational style to the guitar that involves every inch of his instrument. From his funky, percussive playing style that conjures an image of a one-man version of STOMP to lush instrumentals reminiscent of Michael Hedges/Phil Keaggy, his performance blends multiple musical genres and vocals along with some techno fun to create a sound all his own. He is the winner of Guitar Center’s “Guitarmageddon”. Chosen from among 3,000 entrants the singer-songwriter performed at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads 2004 where he shared the stage with many legendary guitarists. Through out a performance Michael may make use of technology, his improv skills, objects in the room, and audience interaction to make music for the ears but more importantly a musical experience for the senses.

Celebrate Women’s History Month With A Tour!

During this program, we will explore their roles, history, and stories focusing on more than five women who once called Madison their home and passion.
The guided tour will start at Dr. Hutchings’ Office (120 W. Third Street), move to the Sullivan House, and finish at the Shrewsbury-Windle House. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for HMI Members, and students are free. Tickets will be available through March 21 on MadTix. About John Harrod & Kentucky Wild Horse
Kentucky Wild Horse takes its name from an old Eastern Kentucky fiddle tune that was played by Wolfe County fiddler Darley Fulks (1895-1990). Kentucky’s older music traditions are the inspiration for this talented group of singers and instrumentalists. Their repertoire consists of older roots music and bluegrass songs, fiddle tunes learned from older Kentucky musicians, and newer original songs that reflect on life in the region today. Along with the songs and tunes, Kentucky Wild Horse audiences are treated to stories of the wise and colorful characters whose music inspired the band.

About Electric Blue Yonder
Electric Blue Yonder (EBY) researches the human condition and reports its findings through harmonious song. Exploring what it means to be human while discovering the mysteries of the universe, the intrepid band of Space Folk seeks to find others of their kind. Human. Kind. Described as “Real American Space Folk,” the band draws its inspiration from the psychedelic folk, surf, and cosmic country rock of the 60s and the Space Age prog/art rock explorations of David Bowie and Pink Floyd, all while shifting time to the early roots and parlour style guitar of the 20th century. The result is a genre-bending mix that captures a nostalgic familiarity while simultaneously transporting you into uncharted territory.
