Not So Basic Boxes: An Introduction to Woodworking

This 3 class series is presented by the Southeastern Indiana Makers Plus (SEIMP) group.
Not So Basic Boxes Series is a great opportunity to begin developing skill with wood. Safe use of tools will be covered as well as planning your projects including choice of material, size, and scale. In the first two classes you will create 2-lidded boxes using hand tools, drills, electric sanders. In the third class you will add finishing touches. You will learn the best way to seal your boxes to protect the wood and make the surface sing!
All Materials are included. We will provide basic safety glasses and an N95 dust mask. If you require something stronger, bring it. Please wear long pants (denim preferred), close toe shoes, sleeves ¾ length or shorter. Long hair should be tied back.

Southeastern Indiana Makers Plus (SEIMP) group is a collective of experienced craftsmen and artists for our local area coming together to encourage, educate, and inspire those who want to expand their woodworking and other craft skills.
