More about the DOORs:
Originally formed in the mid ‘60’s in Los Angeles, the Doors became the premiere “psychedelic rock” band of the 60’s and early ‘70’s and their legacy has persisted for over 5 decades. Originally named for their goal of opening up the doors of perception, their enigmatic and dynamic music continues to be popular and revered even today.
Now, brought back to life for a special New years’ Eve concert, the band will “Light your Fire” all the way through “The End” of the year when the audience can “Break on Through” to the new year! Rock on with us for the best new Years’ Eve party in town.

About Kindred Valley
Indie folk band Kindred Valley started when three friends with a passion for music met at Marshall University in 2020. Initially under the name Back Row Baptists, Blake Lacy, Noah Freeman and Brett McCoy met in Huntington, West Virginia, and began writing and recording music together. The band released its first singles as a trio but found its footing in 2021 with three new members - Husband and Wife Rachael and Jadon Hayes and Kaden Salmons. With three new members and a flurry of new ideas, the band needed a new name. Now named Kindred Valley, Lacy and Salmons wrote an early version of the band’s single “Whistle” during the group’s first meet-up. With new blood and fresh ideas flowing, Kindred Valley released its fifth single, “The Wedding Song,” in 2021.
After almost two years of creative efforts, the group released its self-titled debut album at the end of 2022. The album contains remastered versions of some of the band’s first singles and new music that showcases Kindred Valley is still connected to their Appalachian roots while casting a bold vision for their future.

Derek McBryde w/ Derick Howard
Saturday, Feb. 1st, 2025 | 8pm
Red Bicycle Hall - 125 E. Main Street, Madison, IN 47250
Derick Howard will be opening our evening with a mixture of original songs and jams to a variety of takes on covers from folk to funk! He performs solo as a "One Man Jam Band" by using an audio sampler to record (Live) loop tracks on his guitar, bass, hand percussion, and vocals to make the sound of a full band.
Then get ready for Derek McBryde, a singer/songwriter who plays an eclectic mix of rock, country and reggae while adding his own creative twist to each song. The lovely Liz McBryde will be joining him with her violin, and you might catch Derek doing some looping, or something crazy like drinking 3 dozen eggs on stage. Who knows?

About Michael Kelsey
Michael Kelsey brings a free-flowing improvisational style to the guitar that involves every inch of his instrument. From his funky, percussive playing style that conjures an image of a one-man version of STOMP to lush instrumentals reminiscent of Michael Hedges/Phil Keaggy, his performance blends multiple musical genres and vocals along with some techno fun to create a sound all his own. He is the winner of Guitar Center’s “Guitarmageddon”. Chosen from among 3,000 entrants the singer-songwriter performed at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads 2004 where he shared the stage with many legendary guitarists. Through out a performance Michael may make use of technology, his improv skills, objects in the room, and audience interaction to make music for the ears but more importantly a musical experience for the senses.

About John Harrod & Kentucky Wild Horse
Kentucky Wild Horse takes its name from an old Eastern Kentucky fiddle tune that was played by Wolfe County fiddler Darley Fulks (1895-1990). Kentucky’s older music traditions are the inspiration for this talented group of singers and instrumentalists. Their repertoire consists of older roots music and bluegrass songs, fiddle tunes learned from older Kentucky musicians, and newer original songs that reflect on life in the region today. Along with the songs and tunes, Kentucky Wild Horse audiences are treated to stories of the wise and colorful characters whose music inspired the band.

About Electric Blue Yonder
Electric Blue Yonder (EBY) researches the human condition and reports its findings through harmonious song. Exploring what it means to be human while discovering the mysteries of the universe, the intrepid band of Space Folk seeks to find others of their kind. Human. Kind. Described as “Real American Space Folk,” the band draws its inspiration from the psychedelic folk, surf, and cosmic country rock of the 60s and the Space Age prog/art rock explorations of David Bowie and Pink Floyd, all while shifting time to the early roots and parlour style guitar of the 20th century. The result is a genre-bending mix that captures a nostalgic familiarity while simultaneously transporting you into uncharted territory.
