About Jimmy Davis & The Mercury 7
The Mercury 7 is an Americana band with an edgy sound, drawing influences from John Prine, Muddy Waters, and The Drive-By Truckers. The band members, including Jimmy Davis, Tim Brickley, Kerry Mefford, and Danny Lee Cook, bring diverse musical backgrounds to the group. Davis, the primary songwriter, showcases his eighth studio album, "Down in the Valley," exploring songcraft and the musical heritage of Indiana and Kentucky. The band has a rich performance history at festivals such as the Kentucky Derby and various club dates across the Midwest, sharing the stage with legends like Lonnie Mack, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, and Joe Bonamassa.
