Humans have used fermentation to produce foodstuffs & beverages since the Neolithic age. Fermentation is responsible for key ingredients in probiotics. Probiotics are hailed for their health benefits.
In this 3 hour fermentation workshop for beginners participants will create your own ferment from a delectable variety of seasonal vegetables. In addition to your jar of veggies in solution (with glass jar, weight, and special lid), you will go home with other ferment recipes.
OUR INSTRUCTOR: Julie Thevenow has fermented mushrooms, hardboiled eggs, cherry tomatoes, cranberry relish, sauerkraut, onions, cucumbers, and radishes. She says, “Once you get the hang of fermentation, it’s easy and addictive.”
